Position of Health Management

Health Management Policy

As a guiding light for every employee each day, the Nippon Koei Group Code of Conduct makes a commitment to actively support better employee health and to maintain and promote a workplace where everyone has time to stay healthy and feel prosperous. Therefore, Nippon Koei designates these principles in its health management policies and strives in a variety of measures to promote better health.

Promotion System for Health Management

  • ■ We implement multifaceted promotion system to realize the health management policies through the Safety and Health & Environment Committee (Chair: Senior Managing Executive Officer in charge) under the Total Risk Management Council chaired by the President carrying out various policies to solidify health management and build a workplace environment while the Work-Life Balance Promoting Committee under the Management Council promotes measures to mitigate overtime work and the promotion of other work style reforms.
  • ■ A health management team has been set up under the Personnel Department with a health management room consisting of exclusive medical staff (full-time industrial physicians, nurses and certified psychologists).
  • ■ The health management room holds meetings every month as a place to share information with the health insurance association, Personnel Department, and health management room staff as well as to devise, monitor, evaluate and improve a wide range of health measures from the standpoint of cooperation with the health insurance union (collaborative health).

Setting of Health Issues

Health Issues

Nippon Koei is expanding measures with key emphasis on preventing the progression of illnesses with health checkups as a core element. The data health plan from the health insurance association lays the foundation to engage in the following priority measures:

  • ■ Reduction in the rate of people diagnosed with issues through health checkup results
  • ■ Promotion of anti-smoking measures
  • ■ Enhancements to mental health care
  • ■ Promotion of exercise lost due to telework
